Fall into health!

Hi y’all, it’s Jen!

As September rolls in we realize the active summer is pretty much over so we need to be more aware of how we are eating and exercising.

So as Fall approaches, I thought of 3 things we can do on a daily basis that will lead to a helthier you and me!

1) Fall into good eating habits.
Let’s stop eating fatty foods and instead concentrate on fruits & vegetables that our bodies need. Let’s control the amount of meats and dairy that we allow in. And let’s cut sugar out of our lives. All of these can be achieved if we put our minds to it. And all of these will actually make us feel fabulous! So let’s get started falling into a good food habit!

2) Fall into exercising habits.
This one is different for everyone. If you are doing nothing, start taking a long walk at least once a day. If you are already walking, consider joining a local gym and using a fitness bike or if available consider swimming. These are all easy on the joints and lead to your body burning more calories and burning them longer. If you find the right exercise for you, it won’t be long until you fall into good exercise habits.

3) Finally, fall into good sleep habits.
This one is easy for some, and very difficult for others. We all get 24 hours in a day, but how are we using them? Our bodies need a certain amount of sleep and according to studies we need a good 8 hours a night for our bodies to recharge and replenish energy. When we go into the day with too little sleep, systems in your body will fight against your perfect operational condition. When all systems are firing together you body will become a fat burning machine. So, let’s all fall into bed for good sleeping habits.

So, Fabulous Friends, let’s get started today! Don’t wait! Move it up a notch. If you aren’t doing anything, take that first step. If you are in process, take that next step! And find someone to buddy up with. Whether it’s a food buddy or an exercise buddy or even just someone to encourage you, going it alone is so much harder. Surround yourself with positive people and get the success you deserve!

1/3 C blueberries
1/3 C raspberries
1/3 C blackberries
1/2 C strawberries
1/2 C mango
any 2 of walnuts, pecans or almonds
2 scoops of Pure Nourish Power Boost (chocolate)

Fruit Smoothie
1/3 C blueberries
1/3 C black cherries
1/3 C strawberries
1/2 C Spinach
1 C ice
1 scoop plain pure nourish
1 scoop chocolate power boost
1 scoop orange beauty boost.
Blend.
If you need a smoother experience, add a bit of almond or coconut milk to bring it home!
Delish.

My Story

The age of 16 found me pregnant. Back then there were no reality shows, no praise for being a pregnant teenager. No one offered me a life free of problems. In fact, even finding a compassionate doctor was difficult. At the end of my pregnancy, I had fallen down concrete stairs. My doctor informed me that even though I was bruised and bleeding, I still needed to attend school that day. I had no idea how badly I had hurt myself. I walked to school that day wondering if anyone really cared.

Soon after, I learned about the vicious pharma-cycle that is so common in medicine today. For 20 years I was treated, not so much for my injuries, but for the depression they caused. Which led to a long, entwined series of diagnoses and “treatments”. read more of my story.
